History of the Bible Baptist Church of Debrecen
The Bible Baptist Church of Debrecen was planted by two Independent Fundamental Baptist missionaries, Delbert McLaughlin and Michael Carney. The first church service took place in June of 1996, in the Szabadságtelep area of Debrecen. During the years, more and more people accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and joined the church. Soon we began to realize that we need a larger building. |

After many prayers, God led us to the building, in which we are still having our services. We were able to purchase the building in 1999, which was followed by refurbishing to suit the requirements of Bible Baptist Church of Debrecen. |

Zsolt Kovacs, pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Debrecen became Under Pastor Zsolt Kovacs' leadership and vision our church is still growing and sets new goals for the glory of God. During the years by the grace of God, many exciting and encouraging events took place, which helped participants to build their relationship with the Lord, and deepened their faith. We can witness how Jesus Christ can change the lives of people and give meaning to hopeless lives. Furthermore, we can see how He can guide us in our decisions, answer our prayers and be with us in our daily life.

The ministry of Bible Baptist Church of Debrecen is based on the Great Commission: "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:18-20 |
